One of the reasons I tend to spend more time on Substack than I’m supposed to is because of people like Zali. I came across an article she wrote I dream of success, yet I accomplish nothing and I had never felt so seen. Clearly I wasn’t alone, since six thousand others liked it too. She’d articulated that gap between dreaming big and feeling stuck more honestly than anyone I’d read.
That same eye turns out to apply to everything she touches. Her Q1 roundup reads like a curator’s diary, and her wardrobe (Zimmermann sunglasses, Manolos) is the proof. So it makes sense she’s one of the people whose Woven I keep checking. Here she is on her taste, her edits, and the saves she keeps coming back to.
How would you describe your taste?
I’ve always been drawn to the space between opposites. I would define my style as oversized silhouettes meets softer details. Think baggy trousers, sneakers, and caps, which brings a sense of ease and movement, while voluminous sleeves, feminine cuts, and ballet flats offer the perfect touch of whimsy.
Talk me through one of your edits. What’s in it and why?
Outfit Architecture is an edit of mine which I think perfectly plays into my taste. It revolves around the idea that architecture can be created through clothes. Silhouettes become a way of expressing how we exist in space and expands the role of fashion. You will see throughout this edit how different bodies can create such beautiful shapes and how we should celebrate that.

What’s something you stumbled onto in the app that you’d never have found otherwise — a brand, a person, a save/item that sent you down a hole?
Coats, coats and more coats! I have always been an avid winter lover. However, the amount of prints, cuts, textures and styles of outerwear I have come across, have inspired me to experiment this winter (even though I live in Sydney, Australia…).
Favourite save so far?
My favourite save so far has to be this underwear clutch from Edie Parker. I think this is a perfect addition to girls night or date night!
Best brand (or item) you’ve found through someone else’s saves?
My favourite item has to be this Blue Veda Celine Leather Jacket from Reformation. I found this through Amora Aniba who has impeccable taste!
